12th Annual Challenge Invitational Amateur Championship
October 18 - 19, 2008

Entry Fee:  $155
Entries Close:  October 16th

Eligibility 
Entry is open to any male amateur golfer who is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the USGA and has a current  (within 90 days of opening date) USGA handicap index at a member club.  Entries are subject to rejection at any time, including during the event, by The Challenge Golf Club.  The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct.

Rules
USGA Rules of Golf govern play.  Local rules are distributed at the starter’s table.  The Challenge Golf Club Rules Committee reserves the right to alter  the conditions or schedules as stated, including alteration of the stipulated round(s) at any time during the championship.  Note:  During the stipulated round, use of electronic telecommunications equipment and the like are not allowed.  The competition shall be deemed to have closed when the championship trophy has been presented.

Format
The Championship is conducted at 36 holes of stroke play.  Flights are based on number of entries.  (Approximately 20 players per flight).  Handicaps will be used in flight preparation.

Golf Carts
Daily cart fees are included in the entry fee.  Caddies are not allowed for the championship rounds.  Competitors may walk during the championship rounds.  However, there will be no refund on an unused cart.

Prizes
The Championship trophy and prizes will be presented at the conclusion of play.

Please, only one entry per check.  Make check payable to:  The Challenge Golf Club.

Refunds are not made after entries close except in the case of player injury, illness, or death in the family.  A $20 administrative fee is deducted from refunds.  Special requests for starting times or pairings are not granted.

Official Practice Rounds:  $20.00/round Monday, October 13th thru Friday, October 17th

First Round:  18 holes of stroke play Saturday, October 18th
Second Round:  18 holes of stroke play Sunday, October 19th

Rain Dates:  Saturday, October 25th and Sunday, October 26th
